Item Description
A beautiful, 2.0 x 1.8 x 1.0 cm, hexagonal, partially gemmy, lustrous, classic pigeons blood-red, ruby crystal! It is elegantly perched on wedge of wildly complimentary platy, neon-green, mavinite blades. Mavinite is a unique green brittle mica found only at Karnataka, India. It is intermediate between "xanthophyllite" (= clintonite) and chloritoid and is not recognized as a distinct mineral species. Irregardless, this is a very rare and showy example of the combination species and locale. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! Valued $750-900.
