A sharp, layered, striated, 2.7 cm nearly complete ruby crystal dominates the blocky biotite schist with feldspar matrix on this showy and excellent small cabinet example from India. The scattered rubies have classic pigeons blood red color, lustre and are translucent to moderately translucent. The cute doubly terminated crystal on one side is 1.0 cm. A classic matrix example from the well-known locale. Rich cherry-red fluorescence.
