From one of the most acclaimed localities in the world for Ruby crystals, especially larger ones. Here we have a textbook, hexagonal, "blocky" doubly-terminated Ruby crystal group from Mysore, India. The piece has superb, saturated, pigeon's blood-red color. That typical purple overtone is what one expects from this material. Perfect for a thumbnail collector as it's a total "floater" with no point of attachment i.e., crystallized all the way around. Better than most for the size, as small ones like this are not easy to find in such perfect crystals.
