A fantastic, classic pigeon's blood-red group of rather thick, lustrous Ruby crystals from Mogok, Burma. This crystals are sharply hexagonal, and the largest crystal is doubly terminated with fabulous form, and a wonderful branching sidecar crystal. The color is very rich, and the translucent crystals are intensely colorful when backlit. A great full-sized thumbnail specimen of this now very difficult to obtain material. The piece was mined around 2001, and for the quality, color and size, it is a very worthwhile specimen from what is one of the premier localities for Ruby in the world. Valued at $1500-$1800.
