Recently, the various gem tracts around Luc Yen have produced some impressive Corundum crystals. These are easily some of the most attractive Ruby crystals to come out of any locality in the last decade. This specimen is a nice, semi-lustrous, translucent, fairly sharp, reddish-pink crystal group of Ruby. It looks pretty good from the display side. This locality has the potential to produce some SUPERB Rubies and Sapphires and this is a good little thumbnail specimen from this up and coming locality.
