The gem deposits around Luc Yen have produced some good quality Ruby crystals in the last 15+ years. This is a set of 4 thumbnail sized Ruby crystals free of matrix. Each crystal is a sharp, well-formed, gemmy / translucent hexagonal prism and shows rich pink and pinkish-red coloring. One of the best aspects of the set is the fact that these crystals are not the least bit etched, as they have very attractive crystal faces, with good luster. Considering these are smaller crystals, they're amazingly rich in color.
