The finest crystals and gemstones of Ruby in the world are found in Myanmar, specifically around Mogok. This piece features a group of fine, sharp, lustrous, well-formed, striated rhombic crystals measuring up to 1.3 cm, with minor attached matrix. It's not terribly common to find groups of Ruby crystals, as they most often are found as loose singles. It's important to note that in Myanmar, all pink and red Corundum is referred to as Ruby, where in other parts of the world, the more pink material will typically be referred to as Sapphire. No major damage, and the color is beautiful when the piece is backlit. Specimen weight is 7.3 grams. Priced at $2,000 in our inventory.
