Item Description

Tourmaline is beloved material for the fact that it's incredibly colorful and versatile. It's a favorite among gem carvers for the fact that you can get good-sized pieces with excellent gemminess and rich hues. Here we have a beautiful "flower" carving of rich pink colored Rubellite Tourmaline from Brazil. The piece is very gemmy, with good detail and there's actually a hole carved in the center, as I believe it was meant to be strung on a thread or chain. For reference, this carving came to us priced at $1,102.50 ($75 / carat) from the dealer inventory that we purchased.
