Item Description
In the 1990s some of the finest Rubellite Tourmaline was discovered in Nigeria in terms of size, color and quality. These stones rivaled the best gems from Brazil that were found a few decades earlier. This stone is from that older material and is a classic Rubellite with virtually eye-clean clarity and a goreous saturated pink color. The stone has a lovely "Oval Brilliant" cut. Fine Rubellites can retail for over $500 per carat these days, and the Nigerian material is becoming less and less available on the market.
