Rubellite Tourmaline (21.28 grams)

From a discovery at the world famous Cruzeiro Mine a couple years ago, here we have a beautiful single crystal of VIBRANT gemmy pink and deep reddish-brown (at the termination) bicolor Rubellite Tourmaline with sharp, glassy faces and good saturation. The hue of the pink end of the Tourmaline has a bit more of a lavender-pink hue in sunlight, and more of an orange-pink hue in incandescent lighting. The crystal is in VERY good shape shape, and would make a nice addition to any Tourmaline suite, a gem crystal collection, or a large miniature / small cabinet collection. Classic material and great quality from the standpiont of luster and color. No real damage that I can see with the naked eye, save the base where it detached from the matrix. The piece was priced in our inventory at $2500 and worth it for the size and color. The piece weighs 21.28 grams (106.40 carats)
