Item Description

This is a beautiful single crystal of gemmy Rubellite Tourmaline with sharp, glassy faces on all sides. The termination shows a richly colored pink band at the top, which is flanked by lighter pink and peachy colored zones on each side. Internally the crystal is VERY gemmy in portions, and looks fantastic when backlit. Superficial imperfections keep it from being 100% damage free, but it's still very good quality with unique coloration. Minor mica can be seen at the base for a nice touch. The crystal is in excellent shape, and would make a nice addition to any Tourmaline suite, a gem crystal collection, or a miniature collection. The piece came out of a find around 1975 and is from the collection of Brian Kosnar.
