Item Description
A dramatic, beautiful, very rare and unusual CABINET combination specimen from Mogok and the Bill Larson/Pala Properties Collection of Burma minerals. Rare for the locality, lustrous, translucent, pretty pink rubellite crystals to 1.6 cm are studded on the sculptural matrix, which includes a large, sharp, well-terminated and lustrous, 8.8 cm microcline crystal and a glassy, translucent, 5.8 cm, smoky quartz point. This combination and quality is incredibly rare for the famous locale. This super piece was on display for many years at the Pala Properties Fallbrook store, in a case built over dozens of specimen-hunting trips to Burma by the owner. Value? We think in the $2000 range is fair for this unique large piece. It displays wonderfully, and each mineral in the combination contributes to make it really unique overall
