Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, this pink Tourmaline is from Paprok, a classic locality high in the mountains of Afghanistan. These pegmatites are known for their high-quality Tourmalines, particularly those rich in pink and/or green. This representative crystal is certainly well-formed, with a gemmy interior and reflective prism faces that are highlighted by discreet striations. There are two parallel sidecars along the base that add visual interest, and give the main crystal a sense of style. Also notable is the delicate, preferential etching along the terminations, which is just enough to add mineralogical interest without detracting from the nice aesthetics of this piece. So nice, in fact, that it could make a delightful pendent on it own merits, especially since we would never ever consider cutting such a good crystal.
