Item Description

A beautiful toenail sized specimen of beautiful reddish-purple color crystal aggregates of Roselite-Wendwilsonite (the piece has not been xrayed to know for sure which species it is) on matrix. The crystals measure up to 8 mm across, and are somewhat translucent when backlit. This locality has produced some of the finest specimens of these respective species, and this attractive piece is certainly a very well crystallized example of said material. Wendwilsonite is named for the current publisher & editor-in-chief of the Mineralogical Record, Wendell Wilson. Valued at $500 in the inventory.
