Roselite w/ Calcite (Fioravanti Coll.)

Item Description

Vibrant, gemmy and lustrous, magenta roselite crystals to 5 mm richly line a well-placed, elongate vug. There are also gemmy, water-clear, calcite scalenohedrons scattered in the vug. This very showy and excellent older piece is from the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection, who obtained this specimen from well-known Belgian mining engineer/geologist/mineral dealer and collector, Gilbert Gauthier, in Paris in 1974 in an exchange.
