Item Description
Beautiful, classic, glowing, gemmy and lustrous, magenta colored crystals of Roselite measuring up to a few mm richly can be seen overgrowing rather gemmy, scalenohedral Calcites (some showing slight phantoms) on host rock matrix. We have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. The best Roselites in the world are found at this locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5773). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
