Item Description
Beautiful crystals of bright, lustrous, electric fuchsia colored crystals of Roselite sitting on Dolomite matrix. Classic Roselite from Bou Azzer, and very attractive under magnification. The best Roselites in the world are found at this locality, and their color is unmatched in the mineral world. From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds who passed in August of 2020. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011. The piece is also accompanied by a label from A. L. McGuinness.
