Roselite (classic material)

Item Description

Certainly the finest examples of Roselite are those from Morocco (Bou Azzer and Aghbar respectively. This rare calcium cobalt arsenate has been known since the early 1800s, but good specimens were quite rare until material was discovered in Morocco. This small cabinet display specimen is loaded with small (up to about 2 mm), fine quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, monoclinic crystals with that classic fuchsia color on matrix. Most of the crystals are undamaged, and they are genuinely fun to view up close, as the quality is top notch. We have photographed them with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A must have for any fan of minerals or Morocco or for anybody who has been looking for a wonderful piece of Roselite for a great price.
