Item Description

Roselite is a fairly rare calcium cobalt arsenate, and certainly the finest examples of are those from Morocco (Bou Azzer and Aghbar respectively). Even though this mineral has been known since the early 1800s, good specimens were quite rare until material was discovered in Morocco. This pieces features a coverage of small (up to about 2 mm), fine quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, monoclinic crystals with that classic deep fuchsia color on matrix. Most of the crystals are undamaged, and they are genuinely fun to view up close, as the quality is top notch. We have photographed them with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A must have for any fan of minerals or Morocco or for anybody who has been looking for a wonderful piece of Roselite for a great price.
From the worldwide mineral collection of geologist, Demetrius Pohl (#394).
