A sparkling blanket of rich GEMMY magenta crystals of Roselite on contrasting matrix, this is simply large and showy and colorful! The individual crystals are up to 2 mm but the wide display face as a whole is really large and showy. Roselite is a rare Ca-Co-Arsenate with a very distinctive mineral color. The Aghbar Mine in the Bou Azzer mining district has produced some of the finest specimens of the species. Most carpet aggregates are non distinct and dull but this is definitely the exception. This piece has a dense coverage of sharp glassy crystal faces with a vivid magenta color saturation that just has a superb brilliance to it. Even better in person. There is minor damage to the edge crystals with a couple of minuscule dings on the surface. A rare large cabinet piece with a multitude of transparent gem crystals that display a captivating magenta FIRE. Hard to beat for color, crystal quality, and size. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl.
