Item Description

Rose quartz specimens are extremely rare from the feldspar quarries in the granitic pegmatites of Greenwood, Maine. A very cute 1.8 cm rosette of lustrous, vivid pink rose quartz crystals is very aesthetically set in a vug with a book of pearlescent muscovite plates in the sculptural, blocky albite matrix. Undoubtably old-time material from the 1930s to 60s from the active quarrying period. Ex Howard Belsky Collection and comes with a Greenwood, Maine label. this is rare stuff!
