Rose Quartz (old classic, with saturated color)

The rose quartz specimens from this deposit were collected from an island in the Jequitinhonha River in the 1960s and remain the classic occurrence for rose quartz in the hearts of most older collectors, and in the books. In the case of this specimen the rose quartz crystals, to 4 cm in length, exhibit a fan-like pattern which is dramatic and attractive. The rich pink crystals are glassy and translucent to gemmy,especially at the terminations. This piece is spaecial for its high luster and SATURATED, high level of coloration. It is hard to convey in photos. The specimen should be really quite fairly valued at $3500-4500.
