Item Description
Gemmy, very glassy, beautiful pink rose quartz crystals form a superb radiating two-sided miniature from Minas Gerais. This striking and outstanding piece is from the well-known 1959-61 finds at this locality, the source of the famous "Van Allen Belt" specimen at the Smithsonian. Specimens from this locality and of this high quality are very seldom on the market. Both sides displays dramatically. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON. The high luster and glassiness made photography difficult. From an East Coast collection. Value today is $1500-2000 certainly.
