Item Description
A really attractive "cast" of Rose Quartz from Brazil. The piece features a crystallized drusy layer on the front with dozens of tiny hexagonal crystals, while the reverse side of the specimen shows smooth geometric faces where the piece grew against a previous generation of Quartz forming a "cast". Hard to photograph, but better in person. A really neat piece for any fan of pseudomorphs / casts / epimorphs, etc or pegmatite minerals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
