A beautiful, aesthetic and rich plate of super gemmy and lustrous, pretty pink quartz crystals from the famed Lavra da Ilha pegmatite of Brazil. For its size, the crystal quality is outstanding. Iron oxides outlining the crystals are a nifty accent. This gorgeous piece is from 1960s-70s finds at this renowned pegmatite, located on a island in the Jequitinhonha River, Minas Gerais. The pegmatite could only be mined when water levels were low! Seldom on the market in this quality. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
