Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is the pink variety of Quartz whose color is caused by micro inclusions of pink colored Dumortierite. The material is beloved for its unique color which ranges from a soft pink to a rather rich vivid pink from some localities. Rose Quartz stones are often used in cabochons as the material is rarely clean enough for faceted gems, because the majority of it is "milky" or "cloudy", so this stone is certainly better than most you'll see in terms of optic clarity. This particular stone is a good sized gem and has wonderful clarity for a Rose Quartz. It is a very impressive, very slightly "milky", light pink color gem with a "Pear" cut.
