Rose Quartz is the pink variety of Quartz. Some research has indicated that the color in Rose Quartz is caused by micro inclusion of minerals such as Domortierite. The material is beloved for its unique pink color which ranges from a soft pink to a rather rich vivid pink from some localities. Rose Quartz stones are often used in cabochons as the material is rarely clean enough for faceted gems, because the majority of it is "milky" or "cloudy". This stone has a interesting "Round Cabochon" cut with good clarity and a very soft pink color. A unique stone that would make for a nice piece of jewelry.
