Rose Quartz is the pink variety of Quartz whose color is caused by Titanium. The material is beloved for its unique pink color which ranges from a soft pink to a rather rich vivid pink from some localities. Rose Quartz stones are often used in cabochons as the material is rarely clean enough for faceted gems, because the majority of it is "milky" or "cloudy". This particular stone is a very good sized gem and has great clarity for a Rose Quartz. It is a very impressive, very slightly "milky", light pink color gem with a "Step Pear" cut. This stone is priced at just over $5 per carat, which is a great price for a stone of this size and quality.
