Rose Quartz

Item Description

This stone is an old-time Rose Quartz from Madagascar (dating back to the 1970s or so) with a wonderful "6-point Star" cut. The color is lively and fairly saturated, but my favorite aspect of the piece is that the clarity is excellent for the material. A lot of Rose Quartz can be kind of "cloudy", due to the fact that the pink color is caused by micro fibrous inclusions of a mineral that is either Dumortierite, or related to Dumortierite (See the photo at this link for a fantastic close up of what these inclusions look like https://www.mindat.org/photo-743314.html ). An excellent and uniquely cut stone that would make a great center piece for a pendant or an impressive ring.
