Item Description

Rosasite is a less common, but highly desirable zinc, copper carbonate from the famous Mina Ojuela. Thick crusts of beautiful, botryoidal, teal-blue, rosasite fill two very attractive, lake-like, vugs in sturdy gossan matrix on this excellent specimen. Little gossan, rocky, "islands" and part of the "shore" are covered with complimentary malachite greenery. There are three more rosasite-lined vugs on the back, including one with glassy hemimorphite plates. This is a very fine and rich, older example of this uncommon species from this noted locale. valued at $750-ish to $1000.
