Item Description

Rosasite is a less common, but highly desirable zinc, copper carbonate from the famous Mina Ojuela. Pretty teal-blue rosasite botryoids richly line the elongate vug of this striking, sculptural specimen. The gossan matrix is very sturdy. A nifty cluster of glassy, gem-like, colorless, calcite rhombs at one end of the vug really compliments the rosasite. A rich, colorful and excellent combination example of the species from a NEW FIND at this noted locale (found December, 2009). The base and the back have been sawed to enhance the considerable display quality, which displays well without aid.
