Rosasite with Calcite (ex Harold Urish and Brian Kosnar Collections)

Item Description

A cool Rosasite association specimen from this lesser known Cu-Ag-Pb-Zn-Au-Mn-W-Mo mine in far southern central Arizona. The piece hosts dozens of small, light blue-green spherical aggregates of Rosasite with "tuft"-like growth of white Calcite on beautifully contrasting black Goethite matrix. A wonderful piece compositionally, and truly eye-catching for the color combination. You don't see a lot of specimens from the Omega Mine on the market these days. This piece is from the collection of Brian Kosnar who obtained it from the Harold Urish collection.
