Item Description
A lovely old time specimen of Rosasite with Calcite from the famous Ojuela Mine. The piece is filled with velvety blue-green radiating aggregates of Rosasite mixed among gemmy, colorless rhombs of Calcite sitting on gossan matrix. The underside of the piece features a coverage of bladed Calcite crystals ("Blatterspat"). It's rare to have to two completely different crystal habits of Calcite on the same piece like this from Ojuela in my experience. The piece is best seen under magnification, and we've done our best to illustrate this in the photos.
