Item Description
Rosasite "balls" are one of the more unusual forms of secondary copper minerals from the Ojuela Mine, especially when seen like this in isolation. An altered brown host rock forms the matrix for these velvety, almost sky-blue spherical Rosasite aggregates that vary in size from 1.5 to 7 mm across. The smaller ones are in better isolation off to the sides of the piece while the larger ones cluster more toward the center of the piece. This is an exceptional and unique small cabinet display specimen for Rosasite. Although Rosasite itself might be generally obtainable, these isolated spheres are simply not common at all and is likely an old specimen.
