Item Description
A wonderful classic specimen of Rosasite from the type locality for the species, the Rosas Mine in Sardinia, Italy. The piece features soft blue-green colored Rosasite on all sides of the matrix, associated with Quartz. The piece is more of a reference specimen than anything, but Rosasite was first described / published in 1908, so to find a specimen from the historic mine where the species was first discovered is still significant. If you collect minerals from the type locality, don't miss out on this one. This piece comes from noted Brazilian mineral collector Paolo Matioli and comes with his collection label.
