Item Description
Tsumeb has produced some of the most attractive specimens of Rosasite in history. Sometimes you'll find specimens were Rosasite has pseudomorphed another species (namely Azurite/Malachite), or in the case of this piece, you'll find attractive botryoidal / radial aggregates scattered over matrix. This piece hosts dozens of small (about 2.5 mm across) spheres of rich greenish-blue Rosasite sitting atop off-white colored pearly Dolomite(?) (possibly Calcite) with a bit of light olive-green colored Duftite in a few spots, on matrix. The piece is in very good condition, with no major damage to the top/display side of the piece. A very attractive and now seldom-seen example of these beautiful Rosasites from this preeminent mineral-producing locality.
