Item Description

Isolated beautiful teal-blue botryoids of acicular rosasite, to 5 mm, are dramatically and attractively scattered on the very sculptural gossan matrix along with starkly contrasting clusters of very glassy, colorless, platy calcite rhombs. Ex Bill Panczner Collection and acquired in the 1960s to 1980s. Bill was the first Curator of Earth Science at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum in 1974 and the author of the 1987 book Minerals of Mexico. It is the most thorough summary of the subject. Read about Bill in the Mineralogical Record Biographical Archive at: https://mineralogicalrecord.com/labels.asp?colid=841. See the 2003 Mineralogical Record Mexico II Special Issue on Ojuela in Vol. 34, No. 5. A classic and aesthetic older Ojuela combination.
