Item Description
Rosasite is a less common, but highly desirable zinc, copper carbonate from the famous Mina Ojuela. The gorgeous, teal-blue rosasite looks like it was poured as molten plastic on the sculptural, sturdy, two-sided, gossan matrix on this striking and excellent large specimen. Gem-like calcite rhombs are richly sprinkled on one side. Several rhombs rest on the rosasites and have startling rosasite color zoning! Very nifty! A bit of bruising to the rosasite is certainly a modest detraction. A very colorful, dramatic and artful large example of the combination species from a recent 2009 find at this noted locale.
