Item Description

Here we have the rare phenomenon in the mineral world featuring the DOUBLE pseudomorph, meaning that these crystals grew as Azurite originally which were later altered to Malachite and then still changed again as the pocket chemistry changed, into Rosasite. The uncannily sharp and somewhat blocky crystals (the largest measures 1.1 cm) on this piece are a notable example of this very hard to find material. Good quality all the way around, despite minor roughness. For an added touch, some bright greenish-yellow Duftite can be seen on the base of the piece as well. Tsumeb specimens are rising in value by the minute it seems, and this piece was priced at $2000, so I'm sure it will end up being a great bargain for one fortunate bidder. From the collection of Richard Kosnar with a catalogue number of "609" on the bottom of the specimen.
