Rhodonite (superb crystals)

Fine examples of crystallized Rhodonite is rare in nature, and the specimens from the San Martin Mine in Peru are among the best examples of the species ever found, both in terms of color and crystal form. This piece dates back to the mid 2000s and is a remarkably colorful and eye-catching specimen featuring dozens of top quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, vibrant reddish-pink color, bladed crystals of Rhodonite measuring up to 1.7 cm long, sitting on matrix. The majority of the crystals are damage-free, and if you look closely, you can see that some of them have formed in eye-catching "fan"-like groups. A few scattered Quartz crystals make for a nice touch. The central Rhodonites are all in fine condition, but the periphery of the specimen is forgivably contacted where it was removed from the pocket wall. Priced at $3,500 in our inventory.
