Rhodonite (RARE locality specimen)

The Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia is one the most distinctive Chinese localities, producing some truly singular specimens, including some interesting oddities. This piece is a RARELY seen example of Rhodonite from this remote locale, featuring a large, predominant, sharp, lustrous, bladed crystal which plays host to many smaller blades growing on both sides of the piece. The color ranges from a lovely orange-pink hue to a golden-brown shade in areas. The piece is in very good condition, as the only damage is on the periphery where the piece was separated from the pocket wall. If you collect minerals of China, I'll bet you don't have one of these in your collection, and it's not just an esoteric locality piece, but rather a fine display specimen!
