Item Description
This is a very fine, red-pink, transparent crystal of the manganese silicate species rhodonite, discovered around 2010. The crystal is exceptionally gemmy! Before this significant find at an old industrial manganese mine in Brazil, high-quality rhodonite crystals were extremely rare, with only a few notable specimens emerging from Australia at the turn of the 1900s. The discovery in Brazil brought a limited supply of rhodonite crystals to the market, but such high-quality, complete specimens have become exceedingly rare. This crystal stands as a testament to the exceptional quality that is now so difficult to find. Ex Jingnan (Tom) Zhang.
