Item Description
When it comes to crystallized Rhodonite, the most iconic old-time specimens are those from Franklin, New Jersey. These historic specimens are some of the finest known examples of Rhodonite in the world. This cabinet display specimen features several excellent quality, sharp, well-formed, blocky, strong rose-red color crystals which are intergrown / associated with black Franklinite and white Calcite matrix. The largest individual Rhodonite measures a full 5.3 cm long, though it is not complete. Despite a few contacted crystals, there are a few of them towards the center of the specimen, which are pristine and measure up to 2.5 cm. With a bit of backlighting, you can see that the crystals are actually translucent, and GLOW with color! Specimens of this crystal quality and isolation are very hard to find on the market. The piece shows a strong orange fluorescence
