Item Description

A classic and attractive specimen of RICH pink Rhodonite from the world famous Franklin mine. The piece comes with a label from Lazard Cahn, the world famous mineral dealer, collector and crystallographer (1865-1940). The specimen hosts sharp, blocky, prismatic Rhodonite crystals, along with typical Calcite. It should be noted that the piece has more value based upon its history than anyting as the crystals, despite their larger size, are not 100% complete. The color is good, and the form is very attractive, but they still have some rough edges. The piece is approximately 100 years old as the labels has Cahn's Colorado Springs address listed, and he moved there from New York in 1915.
