A colorful miniature of Rhodonite from the famous find at the San Martin Mine almost fifteen years ago. This specimen hosts a few aggregates comprising, sharp, lustrous, vibrant pink, bladed crystals of Rhodonite associated with minor white Calcite and finely crystalline Pyrite. This miniature has excellent, sharp crystals to 1 cm in sub-parallel sheaves that consist of more isolated bladed aggregates to tight sheaves. This is a gorgeous miniature with great contrast between the dark pink Rhodonite , the white Calcite and the brassy yellow Pyrite. These Rhodonites are among the best crystallized examples of the species and the 1991 pocket is considered the best of Peru, in any case.
