Item Description
Morro da Mina has been an operating manganese mine for decades until recently. It has produced great crystals of Rhodonite and nice big clusters of bright pink, mostly crystalline Rhodonite like this cabinet piece. This attractive piece is composed largely of tightly aggregated, bladed crystals showing partial crystal faces and partial cleavage traces to 5 cm that are mostly translucent and they are displayed well from top to even the bottom of this lovely piece! A very showy, highly representative and excellent specimen for the species from this noted Brazilian locality.
