Item Description
Originally Rhodolite was used to describe the rose colored variety of Pyrope, but in recent years many reddish colored Garnets in the Almandine-Pyrope series are labeled as Rhodolite. Rhodolite Garnets are some of the most vivid and beautiful gems in the Garnet family. These stones are beloved for their great color and large size stones. It should be noted that Rhodolite is not a species of Garnet, but rather a variety. The Rhodolites from Tanzania has some of the most rich colors from any world locality. This is an attractive gem with a rich reddish-pink color and is only very very slight inclusion. The cut on this stone is a "Round Brilliant" cut. A beautifully colored stone from what is proving to be one of the premier localities in the world for the material.
