Item Description
Garnet gem are typically associated with the color red, which is apt because Garnet was actually named after pomegranate. Rhodolite Garnets are some of the most vivid and beautiful examples of any member of the Garnet family out there. Historically, the name Rhodolite was used to describe the rose colored variety of Pyrope, but in recent years many pinkish colored Garnets in the Almandine-Pyrope series are labeled as Rhodolite. These well-known stones are beloved for strong warm hues, and sometimes larger sized stones. The Rhodolites from Tanzania have some of the most rich colors I've seen for Rhodolite from any world locality. This gem is very attractive with a rich red color and is only very slightly included. The cut on this stone is a "Round Brilliant" cut. A great fiery stone from what is proving to be one of the premier areas in the world for the material.
