Rhodolite Garnet

Rhodolite is a variety of Garnet found in some of the most vivid and beautiful intense pink and red hues in the Garnet family. The classic Tanzanian stones are some of the largest and richest examples of gem quality Garnet, regardless of species or locality. They are fast becoming very popular among gem collectors, as this material is not very common from anywhere else in the world. This gem has a fiery pink color face up, and is virtually eye clean. The cut on this stone is a "Concave Round", with little indentations cut into the pavilion, to give it more flash/life. It is a very good stone from what is proving to be one of the premier localities in the world for the material.
