Item Description

Rhodolite was originally considered a variety of Pyrope, but is now classified as a variety of the Almandine-Pyrope Series. Due to the red color, they are some of the most vivid and beautiful gems in the Garnet family. The Rhodolites from Tanzania have some of the richest colors for the material from any world locality. This gem is attractive with a good saturated pink color and is nearly eye clean in clarity. The cut on this stone is a "Quantum Round" cut. An attractive stone from what is proving to be one of the premier localities in the world for the material.
